FATHER PAT is the director of the Newman Center. He has served as a Campus Minister for the past 27 years and been at UB for 20 years! One of the most familiar faces at UB, he can be found in many places on campus: anatomy lab, the Union, sports events, lectures, and the Baldy walkway! He spends lots of time in his office talking to all kinds of members of the UB family as well as leading the Newman Center Team and ministering to the needs of the Newman Center Community. As he often says...

Greg Coogan

Greg Coogan is a lay campus minister at The Newman Center and works primarily at the Amherst campus. Greg completed a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, focusing on pastoral leadership, from the Washington Theological Union in December of 2003. Greg is a certified Catholic Campus Minister with the Catholic Campus Ministry Association and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops of the United States. He is a native of Western New York and loves UB and campus ministry. Greg and his wife Angela celebrated the Sacrament of Matrimony in May 2005 and welcomed a daughter, Mary Clare, in April of 2008. They are enjoying parenthood and married life. At The Newman Center there are a wide variety of opportunities for community, fun and dialogue that include: Bible Study, Wednesday Night Dinners, Retreats, Socials, Service Opportunities, and so much more! Campus Ministry is open to all University members (Professional, Graduate & Undergraduate Students, and Faculty & Staff). Greg's office is located in the Newman Center (Suite 209 The Commons) on the North Campus. Greg is available for a friendly visit or questions of spirit. Stop by and get acquainted.
David Greenman

David Greenman is the Director of Development. He came to us after serving over five years at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute where he was Director of Annual Giving. At St. Joe's he lead a period of tremendous growth within the Annual Fund and is looking forward to expanding all of our development efforts here at the Newman Center. Currently he is directing our efforts in the "Centering Our Community" Building Campaign which will bring a much needed centralized place for Catholic campus ministry here at UB. David resides in East Amherst with his wife Gretchen, daughter Kathleen and son Luke.
